The Most Addictive Peanut Sauce
Calling all peanut butter lovers!!! This recipe makes a sauce that is so addictively good, I put that sh*t on everything. From peanut noodle satay to salad roll dip, this sauce is the real MVP and my mama's very own secret recipe. (Sorry mom... not so secret anymore!) Ingredients - 5 cloves crushed garlic
- 3/4 cup natural peanut butter
- 3/4 cup water - 1 inch cube fresh ginger (grated)
- 3 tbsp Maggi sauce * or soy sauce but Maggi is worth the buy
- 2 tbsp sambal chilli sauce - LOTS of fresh cracked pepper! - cilantro for garnish (optional) Yields 2 generous salad roll dipping bowls OR mix with 1 pack of wide rice noodles for a fun peanut satay. Directions: In a small pot heat up a splash of oil over medium heat. Add the crushed garlic and stir until fragrant (approx 30 seconds). Add peanut butter and stir for another 30 seconds until slightly warmed. Add water followed by all the other ingredients and keep stirring! The key is to not let the peanut butter caramelize or burn to the bottom. Stir, stir, stir over medium heat until all the ingredients are combined and until the sauce starts to thicken up. Serve with chicken skewers, noodles, or prawn salad rolls and enjoy!
Note: If you buy Maggi for this recipe you won't regret it because it's literally my secret ingredient in so many dishes. Every stir fry, marinade, and even my chilli has a few splashes of Maggi.. it's just so flavourful and an ingredient that my family has always sworn by!
Without bias, this is the best peanut sauce I have ever tried in my life.
